Behind such artistic richness, we find KROY, a multi-disciplinary creative and published songwriter committed to constantly innovating and evolving her musical persona. Also prolific in visual arts, the Montreal-based talent envisions a gloomy, yet hopeful sonic universe, one where soothing coral pieces such as ‘BLUEBIRD’ perfectly coexist with electrifying and noisy anthems (‘DEFENDER’).
Speaking about the inspiration behind the album, she explains: “It’s drenched with sadness and despair, from different perspectives of mania and depression. A portrait of a girl’s evolution through her twenties, gathering confidence, losing it entirely, testing out different personalities, just to come back closer to who she really is.”
