Expressing his artistic prowess through playful songwriting and catchy motifs, London pop outfit Kibbokid has crafted a unique sound that draws from the influences of Talking Heads, Brian Eno, and Sparks. His debut release, ‘Follow The Leader’, is a timely and powerful statement on the perils of unchecked power and the importance of staying positive in the face of difficult times. Utilizing his theatrical voice, Kibbokid is able to deliver his lines with wonderful melodramatic flair, instantly making a good impression on the listener. In fact, this is not a record you will forget about easily.
The single was originally intended to be recorded live with a band, but the pandemic put a halt to those plans. Instead, Kibbokid went on to finish the single in his own home studio, using the process to stay sane amid the isolating 9-5 grind.
