Kapture knows it very well, kickstarting her music journey with an unapologetic, fierce and empowering style, better reflected in the bright and relatable sonic matter. Emerging from Los Angeles, she’s unveiling ‘New Beginnings’, the single that introduces her to the industry.
What an introduction! ‘New Beginnings’ is as modern as they come. Built over a polite and minimal bouncy hip-hop beat, the track soon evolves into a poignant and anthemic chorus, giving the record quite a kaleidoscopic character. Crowning it all, we find Kapture’s vocals, so dynamic, energetic and charismatic. Oscillating between long chants and fast-paced rap, the young talent seems to have all the right cards to find her place in the music world – and we are confident she’ll be a relevant name pretty soon.
A collaboration with producer Sam J Garfield, ‘New Beginnings’ also marks the start of a number of singles to bless our ears this summer, set to take Kapture to higher territories. Lyrically, the song acts as a freedom-inspired anthem, with the young American breaking free from his troubled and challenging past. As she explains: “You never know what’s coming up ahead, but I can control what I’m doing now, and I’m going to do this.”
