With spring entering our horizons this month, we are more and more projected towards sunnier weather and brighter days; some of us can even taste that saltwater flavour in our minds, or hear the ocean waves roaring in the distance. To complement all that, one must also embrace lighter music. Leaving winter blues behind, we are lucky enough to discover the perfect track to embrace the upcoming seasons. ‘Respiro Tu Aire’ is a collaborative effort between Santo Domingo-based singer juracán and fellow Venezuelan creative Julimar.
The track configures itself as a chill-out, soothing reggaeton gem, exuding passion, lust and a magnetising quality. Echoing memories of a magical moment, the song describes a fortunate romantic encounter, managing to convey all of its excitement and intimacy. Julimar and juracán’s vocals work very well together, as a female/male duet. The alchemy is obviously there, both showcasing their evocative, precise vocal tone.
Sonically, we are into eclectic reggaeton territories, with a touch of Caribbean flavouring thrown in for good measure. The results are wonderful: ‘Respiro Tu Aire’ is bound to transport you to the new season – in just under three minutes.
