Julo Returns with Relatable Bop ‘Already Gone’

Following up on previous single ‘Over Again’, upcoming talent Julo closes the year in anthemic fashion, delivering a single that feels edgy, fresh and fierce. ‘Already Gone’ is what we’d often call a ‘bop’ – a charming slice of pop perfection. Built over modern synth-pop stylings, the record is pretty minimal and intimate in its production. A punchy drum machine is the main course in it, leaving ample space for Julo’s vocals to flourish into a relatable and evocative stream of consciousness.

Hailing from Brooklyn, the young creative teamed up with producer Dan Salazar, taking a raw first idea into a fully-fledged nugget of pop euphoria. Special mention must be given to Julo’s dynamic and luscious tone, able to hit high notes and indulging in mind-bending brilliance. Writing pop music is certainly not easy, but he seems to be perfectly at home in such settings. Looking forward to seeing the project bloom into a bigger, more mature act.

Lyrically, ‘Already Gone’ bathes in self-esteem and resilience territory, especially when applied to romantic exchanges. As Julo explains: “It is about recognizing your worth and shedding toxic relationships, and recognizing your worth, going for what you want.”
