After pursuing music in her early years, she then went on to build a family and a life in San Diego. Last year though, she started the process of approaching her artistry again. Championing a strong folk and pop character, Julie Ann is able to build a mellow and heartfelt sonic framework for her inspired and spiritual storytelling. Introduced by vocals and piano, ‘Something Gets Me’ soon evolves into a glorious pop number, featuring an epic and cinematic chorus. An emotional string section joins the song too. All this musical goodness enhances Weiler’s evocative, precise and highly expressive vocals, able to shift from low to high dynamics in a heartbeat. Impressive.
Lyrically, the Californian singer seeks to empower and help listeners with tales of challenge and reckoning. While the music is great, we believe her message will be even greater, and could help us navigate hard times. Just believe!
