Josh Jensen Shares Americana Album ‘Moon Time’

Travelling along Americana, Folk and Country avenues, Josh Jensen found its artistry during late-night basement jams, allowing him to distill a plethora of influences into a brand new, charming package. Props for his commitment too, with a lot of that jams’ material being recorded on his phone.

A talented guitarist and singer, the Seattle resident unveils the results on a stunning and wide-scope album, ‘Moon Time’. In it, the keen listener will discover a sonic universe made up of poignant guitars, fuzzy distortion and melodious, quirky vocals, all drenched in the best U.S.A. musical tradition.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Chris Stapleton, Punch Brothers and Jonah Smith, among others, ‘Moon Time’ is as eclectic as they come. Fingerstyle guitars alternating to rock-flavoured solo, while Jensen puts on different hats: intimate folk singer-songwriter at times, powerful bandleader at others.

What matters, is that the listener will greatly rejoice in the variety and lyrical appeal offered by Josh. Take for instance ‘Ain’t Infinity’, a standout track inspired by Josh rocking his baby son to sleep, while watching the TV show Yellowstone. The song has a haunting melody and thoughtful lyrics – a true gift for the soul.
