Jorden Albright Returns with Dreamy and Eclectic Third EP ‘Pretty Party’

It’s been a while since we last heard from Tennessee-based pop artist and producer Jorden Albright – nearly two years to the day if we’re being technical – so her comeback is a welcome surprise. Introducing ‘Pretty Party’, Jorden’s brand new and third EP. An eight-track offering that is quintessentially bedroom pop, (literally produced in the artist’s bedroom) Albright once again presents a smorgasbord of styles and sounds.

From pop and electro to hip-hop and R&B, Jorden grabs little pieces of magic from the ether and implants them into her EP. A captivating blend of ethereal vocals and eclectic instrumentation transports listeners to a world of whimsical soundscapes and introspective lyrics.

‘The Fool (prelude)’ sets the mood perfectly before ‘oh god!’ sucks you deep into the musician’s hypnotic and complex sonic landscape. ‘kick it’ then steps up to the plate in a similar fashion to its predecessor before ‘if I go out’ comes in with more dreamy and inventive layers of sound that are simply impossible to ignore.

“I wanted ‘Pretty Party’ to feel like hanging out with me, but doing it from inside my brain,” says Jorden. Mission accomplished as far as I am concerned. And, once you’ve experienced the remaining four tunes, I think you’ll grasp the full scope of Albright’s unique artistic vision. Enjoy!
