‘Instagram Success’ is the first official release from Atlanta-based singer/songwriter Jonathan Brenner since his debut album ‘Playin’ Hooky with My Baby’ back in 2018. Described as a “vintage soul-pop jam”, it’s a tune that incorporates all of Brenner’s favourite genres into an irresistible sonic package. Jazzy, poppy, rocky, and soulful, ‘Instagram Success’ quirkily exposes the superficialities of social media and offers up a refreshing take on modern culture and our obsession with celebrity status and fame.
With influences ranging from the likes of Bob Dylan and Elton John to Cole Porter and Antônio Carlos Jobim, it’s no surprise that Jonathan’s sound is deeply unique and inventive.
