John Goldrust Shares Jazz-Funk Piece ‘When Said Is Done’

It is no secret that the current music industry landscape is filled with artificial sounds and manufactured tunes. Almost as an act of resistance, John Goldrust‘s latest track, ‘When Said Is Done,’ emerges as refreshing evidence of the power of raw, authentic material. Built over Jazz-Funk eclectic influences, the record tries to transcend genres, managing to hypnotise its audience with quirky grooves and witty riffing, thought-provoking lyrics and an unapologetic, freedom-driven spirit.

Based in Oxford, UK, John Goldrust skillfully crafts a narrative that explores the unwavering belief in a higher power. The lyrics inspire us to put our faith in something greater, allowing the innate goodness in the universe to rise above the chaos of our modern world.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the record, the talented British musician explains: “Produced without automated short-cuts, it stands in defiance of the A.I. driven ‘muzak’ we will surely all be swamped with soon, where already auto-tune and quantisation have become the norm of modern music, to the detriment of it’s essential spirit!”
