‘XVII Happiness’ is a record that deeply inspires us; you see, when brave artists delve into boundary-breaking territories something magical happens: it instantly empowers others to follow up on the same theme, carrying the limitless potential of artistic exploration forward. ‘XVII Happiness’ is exactly that, a leftfield, experimental piece diving into abstract electronica and ethereal textures.
The result is an incredibly cathartic listening experience, allowing the brain to indulge in a heightened state of consciousness, all facilitated by Johanna Elina Sulkunen’s visionary artistry. We did lose ourselves in the track, although just for a mere four minutes and 41 seconds. The most beautiful things in life are often ephemeral – and ‘XVII Happiness’ is certainly part of it.
The record is taken from Sulkunen’s upcoming album, ‘Coexistence’, out on May 24th.
