Joe Sneva Returns with Infectious Tune ‘Move Over’

Jeremy Bregman

‘Move Over’ is the latest genre-bending single from the Pacific Northwest-based singer/songwriter Joe Sneva. Serving as a homage of sorts to Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Hungry Heart’, ‘Move Over’ is a tune that stands on its own as a thoughtful and catchy track about bad breakups, cheating, and the like. Expertly juxtaposing the subject matter with the soundscape, Sneva along with Jarrod Fenner (drums) and Aaron Wilford (bass) creates an upbeat, melodic, and poppy little number. Just try not to bob your head along to the song. It’s literally impossible!

Writing from his mixed bag of surf, pop, rock, folk, and reggae, it’s clear that Sneva goes where the music takes him. He pours his heart and soul into his tunes and his passion is palpable in every single note.

Despite the sombre subject matter, ‘Move Over’ always maintains a sense of optimism. The lively instrumentation and enthusiastic vocals create a sense of excitement that is infectious. It’s the kind of tune that can lift your mood and make you feel better about the world, even if only for a few minutes. Sneva proves once again that he is a highly talented musician and songwriter, capable of creating music that is both meaningful and entertaining.
