Jeremy Engel Finds His Balance in New Single ‘On Your Wire’

You should think about ‘On Your Wire’ as a piece focused on balance; whether that refers to a man walking on a wire or a general direction in life, will highly depend on the listeners. If you are keen to embrace all the softness and elegance Jeremy Engel has to offer, you’ll find that finding that balance is not that hard; just be inspired by his musical output, incredibly cathartic and emotional, yet substantial and authoritative.

That’s the true balance right there: pairing folk-flavoured lyricism with an eclectic arrangement, the Luxembourg-born talent manages to paint a relatable sonic picture, one that will no doubt capture tons of like-minded fans around the world. Engel’s evocative and raw vocals are the perfect match for such a glorious record, further enhanced by a selection of fiddles and veiled electronic textures.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, he explains: “In 1974, on August 7th the high wire artist Philippe Petit completed an illegal high wire walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre of New York City. The track is inspired by this historical event.”
