‘The Devil Is In The Details’ is Kelleher’s latest effort, a more uplifting, vibrant anthem which resonates very close to its author’s heart. Penned as a tribute to their LGBTQ+ community, the song “It’s about the strength, vulnerability and resilience of the LGBT+ community. My community. It’s about overcoming the bigotry and hate directed at us and about finding ourselves and finding Love against the odds” – as JD explains.
Built over a malleable, friendly pop sound, ‘The Devil Is In The Details’ develops rather slowly, constantly raising the stakes in terms of fierceness and anthemic energy. Eventually, it all resolves into a punchy, catchy chorus, still drenched in soulful tones and unmatched elegance.
