It’s been quite the year for Faroese vocalist and R&B star Jasmin Mote, better known as jazzygold. After debuting with ‘boring like me’ back in February and amassing thousands of streams along the way, she now returns with her fourth single ‘day off’. A mesmerizing blend of breezy melodies and soulful harmonies, it’s a tune that’s here for a good time and not a long one. Jasmin manages to deliver a serious punch in under three minutes, showcasing pretty remarkable musical depth.

Speaking about her latest song, Mote says, “‘day off’ is a reminder to myself and everyone else who can relate that it should be OK to take a day off, or a week, or years, or a whole lifetime if that’s what you need to feel better.” Speaking to the importance of one’s mental health and priorities, the track serves as a vital reminder to take a breath, step back, and log off. It also doesn’t harm that it’s a certified banger!
