The second chapter of James Myhill’s limitless sonic exploration, ‘Cinematic Inspired 2 – Dark Matter’ pushes the boundaries of his artistry even further, scouting an eclectic formula drenched in eerieness and eclectic sound design. Aptly released for Halloween on October 31st, the album is certainly not for everyone, yet we are confident it will capture the most witty and nuanced listeners out there.
We do love some leftfield electronica and genre-less experiments, so we find ourselves naturally drawn to Myhill’s ground-breaking work. ‘Cinematic Inspired 2 – Dark Matter’ is a piece with a number of different angles. As its name implies, there’s a great deal of cinematic vibrancy in it. There is also a wide neo-classical inspiration behind it, blending attention-grabbing compositional techniques with dark and gloomy sound design. Lastly, we couldn’t forget about the ambient and avant-garde input that wraps the whole album into a long-lasting, unforgettable package.
Hailing from England, James Myhill unveils compelling visuals for ‘Grandfather Clock’, crafted in collaboration with his wife Stephanie and son Alex.
