James Arlington Playfully Claims ‘I’m No Artist’ – Yet He Truly Is One

Introduced by an icy and spacious arpeggiated guitar, ‘I’m No Artist’ doesn’t waste any precious time, instantly jumping onto James Arlington‘s deep and evocative vocals, incredibly cathartic and meaningful. Originally hailing from Norwich, the talented British creative possesses what we call a ‘million-dollar’ vocal tone: precise and malleable, he’s able to truly deliver honey-like melodies to the listeners, communicating tons of melancholia and nostalgia in the process.

‘I’m No Artist’ is the perfect evidence of that: a ballady pop tune with an alluring soulful livery, politely groovy and vibrant. Now based in London, James seems to have the world at his feet. Let’s not forget he’s only twenty-one years old, and already boasting a mature and eclectic musicianship. Excelling with the visual arts as well as with the sonic ones, we are confident he’s got a glorious career ahead of him.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Arlington explains: “The track delves into themes of distance, contemplation, and the inexorable passage of time”.
