If there’s anything we can admire in Jack Tracy’s artistry, is his ability to always craft danceable, groovy bangers, exploring playful and love-related themes as a counterpoint. Emerging from NYC, Tracy has been making a name for himself by releasing a plethora of singles in the past 2-3 years, slowly building a very precise artist identity for his passionate and evocative character. Channelling R&B, pop and dance, the young talent is in full swing.
‘Into Me’ is Tracy’s latest effort, a Motown-infused track representing the first step towards his upcoming EP ‘All I Think About’. In it, Jack shuffles the cards a fair bit, delivering a sound that blends elements of classic 80s Prince with more modern production. Lyrically, the song seeks to empower Jack and the listeners in being more upfront with their desires, often the truth pays off. The accompanying video sees Jack in the spotlight, with star wipes and disco balls serving as the backdrop for his performance.
Although incorporating some very charming retro elements, ‘Into Me’ ends up being an edgy production, perfectly fitting our modern times packed with riveting nostalgia. Tracy’s vocals navigate the sonic material with ease, keeping melodies dry and the tempo snappy.
