Jack Robson Shares Meaningful Gem ‘Run Miles’

Introduced by soothing, evocative vocals drenched in vocoder goo, ‘Run Miles’ is an interesting effort. Built over mellow, elegant atmospheres, the record does a good job of blending Jack Robson‘s singer-songwriter origins with a more contemporary, synthetic production. Upon noisy beats and long soundscapes, the British troubadour lays a wealth of poignant lyricism, taking a deep look at the power of connection – both human and Divine.

Empowering his Christian beliefs, Robson manages to scavenge deep into his consciousness, offering a philosophical take on relationships, yet one that’s firmly planted in the reality around us. As Robson so eloquently explains: “The core theme of this song is a wrestle of relationships: human to human and human to the Divine. It wrestles through the hope for a relationship that can, at times, be met with the reality of graft and hard work. The narrative within the lyrics expresses the pain felt by missed moments, of disconnection, of deeply vulnerable and human moments that stir pain instead of love.”

Produced and recorded by Alasdair Gorniak at Woolly Hat Recording Studio, ‘Run Miles’ is a beautiful piece, one that showcases all of the love Robson has to offer, both from an artistic standpoint and a religious one. And if religion is not for you, the lyrics can be interpreted in a thousand different ways – just open your heart to them.
