Jack Miller Favours the Unexpected in ‘Walk This Way’

A short yet intense slice of playful energy, ‘Walk This Way’ engages in malleable indie-pop, drenched in hip-hop elements and an incredibly groovy character. Honestly, it’s a great record. Clocking in at two minutes and a half, the track is short but hard-hitting and memorable; it reality sets a lasting vibe, a sign that we are dealing with a meaningful and authentic single.

Penned by New York-based creative Jack Miller, the song showcases first and foremost his charismatic vocals, delivered through a sleazy, bouncy yet effective cadence. The perfect match for the dance-inducing instrumental background. Produced and mixed entirely by Miller, ‘Walk This Way’ tells us a lot about the project’s potential. You see, a lot of current artists out there cannot write a record this good even with a team around them. Jack needs a laptop and a studio, and he’ll release a banger. Do walk that way!!

Drenched in personal reflection and real-life experience, ‘Walk This Way’ aims to scramble the ordinary to favour the unexpected, as Miller explains: “I feel like when I sit down to make music, all of the rigidity and structure in my life falls away, and that’s the feeling I’m searching for. That’s the feeling I know a lot of people are looking for, and I tried to encapsulate that in this song.”
