This track is what we would define as a ‘welcome comeback’. You see, you might recall hearing about J0VANNA first in 2021, when the Florida-based artist first debuted. Showcasing a knack for modern pop arrangements and introspective lyricism, it was clear how the young talent had tremendous potential in her artistry. Lucky for us, we are able to write about J0VANNA again, having recently returned to the music scene after a hiatus lasting the best part of two years.
‘Stupid Face’ is her latest effort. In it, the listener will notice the growth and evolution that J0VANNA endured, consolidating her songwriting prowess and vocal musicianship. The single is exactly that, a catchy, melodious and relatable pop banger, contrasting a pensive and witty instrumental with less serious lyrics. I wanted it to be quirky and light-hearted, and one that can make you smile or laugh when you listen to it.
