Well, if ‘Desecrated Landscape’ tells us anything, is that Infinitefreefall have hit musical gold. Contrasting dreamy and alternative stylings with Maxton Stenstrom’s deep, charming vocals, the group’s sonic formula works really well, making for a listening experience that’s intense and nostalgic, yet vibrant and fierce.
Guiding the group’s artistic direction on guitar and vocals, Stenstrom is then joined by Loren Jolley on synth and vocals, Bradley “Bayou” Simmons on bass, and Shawn Krauss on drums. Together, the American talents now present ‘Desecrated Landscape’, a record that highly showcases everything the project stands for.
To us, it sounds like a rare blend of Interpol and Bloc Party, but their references are far and wide, with guitar tones that also delve into more alternative, heavier territories. If this sounds good, look out for Infinitefreefall’s upcoming album ‘Belief System’, expected later this year.
