Ignacio Wer Shares Stunning Gem ‘Much A Time in Ache’

Soft, elegant: ‘Much A Time In Ache’ resembles a warm blanket on a cold winter night; a slice of kindness and poignancy in an ever so dark and complex world. Both in its sonic and lyrical aspects, the record feels like the arrival point of a long period of self-reflection, the realisation that everything is good, a nostalgic look at one’s life with a hopeful attitude. Basically, it’s the kind of piece that’s melancholic and positive at the same time, a glorious, cathartic effort.

Hailing from Berlin, Ignacio Wer is the talented creative behind such a gem. Originally from Argentina, Wer can be considered a holistic explorer of music, both from a songwriting and production point of view. His choices are very precise, at least when it comes to ‘Much A Time in Ache’ and the wider upcoming EP containing it.

As Wer explains: “Bridge ambient with indie folk by exploring granular synthesis techniques and purposefully limiting the devices, sound sources and effects to achieve a unique sonic identity, while designing a piece conceived as a continuous journey meant for single-sitting listening”.
