Known by day as Danny Lloyd, Hybrid Kid is the full package, with the English troubadour focusing his attention on perfecting his artistic formula and penning meaningful lyricism.
Delving into the recording process behind ‘Cry’, Lloyd explains: “Recording in a barn in the South Downs National Park away from all the hecticness of modern life helped create the laid back strolling vibe of this track”. There’s obviously a certain bucolic component in it, a slice of authenticity that keeps the project relatable and timeless. A quality that’s shared by the songwriting behind ‘Cry’, urging listeners to never give up, letting go of failures and disappointments.
