Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, the Finnish songstress explains: “‘Dajan’ is a holistic embrace to connect with one’s inner world, ancestry and self-determination. Questions presented connected to both our collective and individual healing, survival and empowerment. We’re living in times when Sámi culture is presented mostly through activism. These are important political matters that have been discussed throughout the years.”
