Hele Shares Experimental Piece ‘Blue City’

Certainly one of the most elusive records we have come across this year, ‘Blue City’ can be seen as the cosmic collision of two distant worlds. On one side, you’ve got classic orchestral strings, wrapped in crepuscular goo and spacious effects. On the other, there are tons of leftfield and avant-garde electronica with a strong glitching character. A warm piano also joins such a quirky sonic formula, elevating ‘Blue City’ to a stunning slice of musical extravaganza.

Hele is the talented composer and creative behind the track. Known as Richele Kuhlmann by day, the classically trained performer and musician has built a strong brand with experimental and cinematic pieces, constantly drawing a line between her classical roots and electronica-powered futurism.

On ‘Blue City’ – developed in collaboration with Austin-based producer Andy Dollerson – Hele manages to build an intense fictional world which feels cathartic and evocative, where we can fully appreciate her technical abilities. The record anticipates an upcoming EP, ‘Eladia’.
