We often underestimate how much we rely on others to maintain our own sanity. Receiving the support of family and friends can dramatically change any challenging situation, helping us navigate through the mud of our own negative emotions. Hazel knows it well. After a difficult time dealing with depression and loneliness, she found solace and resolution in reaching out to her dearest, managing to turn things around. Now, she wants to empower listeners in doing the same, sharing her message in a beautiful debut single, ‘Scream’.
Hailing from London, Hazel worked with her co-writer and procedure Alex Rigueiro to build a gentle, slightly anthemic pop gem, building an intimate, refined instrumental over which the talented artist can flex her perfect, luscious vocals, often greeted by charming harmonies. Inspired by the likes of Billie Eilish, Holly Humberstone, and Lorde, the track is a true earworm, placing itself in an extremely contemporary setting. Acoustic guitars, punchy yet polite beats, light keys, everything concurs in making ‘Scream’ the banger it clearly is.
Not just a banger though. It’s a track that makes you reflect, and grow. As Hazel describes:”It is a song that makes you want to release your emotions; anger, frustration, and sadness”.
An artist to watch out for. Recommended!
