Based in Prague, the young creative champions a lyrically wholesome and authentic character, infusing his songs with tons of relatability and emotional energy. The result is material that’s easy to connect to, also thanks to Govorukha’s warm vocal tone. Built over acoustic elements, ‘Scissors’ flourishes on folk fiddles, cajon percussions and a spacious selection of guitars. Notably, the single has been written and produced by Govorukha himself, showcasing his multi-artistry and strong flair for passionate songwriting. A keen investigator of human behaviours, the young creative delves into themes of love and acceptance with a sapient attitude, penning songs that feel drenched in personal experience and rather universal.
Describing the inspiration behind ‘Scissors’, he explains: “It is about helping a friend/friends getting through traumas and issues by just being there for them, refraining from judgement, giving any advice or sharing stories of the same experiences that will certainly help”.
