Glytsh Returns with Electrifying and Dark Banger ‘V.H.S (Vulgar Holy Spirit)’

Hotly-tipped by a plethora of publications and radio stations, London-based duo Glytsh seems to be set for a glorious year. They had a pretty awesome 2022: debuting with ‘Closer’ and following up with ‘(Hard)core Memory’ and ‘SAV@GE’, the talented duo has been showcasing a highly eclectic style, taking inspiration from heavy metal, grunge and alt-rock while incorporating modern electronic elements. Now, Glytsh returns with their first single of the year, and it’s a surprising offering. ‘V.H.S (Vulgar Holy Spirit)’ is decisively more distorted, screamed, and intense.

The latest chapter in a fast-growing artistic saga, the record showcases a tougher side of the group, especially when it comes to their vocal abilities. Formed by French singer Jennifer Diehl and Swiss guitarist Claire Genoud, the two have been building a personal musical world made up of haunting and dark tones, all drenched in energy, punch and fierceness.

‘V.H.S (Vulgar Holy Spirit)’ is exactly all that, and more. Championing an overall message of empowerment and self-confidence, Glytsh explains how the single focus on a broken relationship that’s being repaired: “It’s a dark romantic tale 2.0 with a Frankenstein flavour and could be seen as the sequel to our second single – ‘Hard(core) Memory’”.

If you live in London, you might be interested in the band’s debut gig, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 14th of June at The Grace, supporting Tom Saint.
