An eclectic artist, Giovany Revelle takes a wide, free approach to his music, navigating a variety of genres to express his multi-form and complex storytelling. Debuting earlier this year with the single ‘45’, Revelle delivers a haunting gem balanced over Blues and Country sensibilities. In other words, he’s throwing it back, and he does so also thanks to the contribution of legendary Blues guitar player Giles Corey, guesting on the record.
About Revelle, we know he’s gearing up for an album, from which ‘45’ is taken. It must feel liberating for him, to be able to finally showcase his artistry to the world. You see, while his project might be new on the scene, Giovany has been championing music all his life, sharpening songwriting and production skills along the way. After his dad passed away in 2017, the Texan talent found the inspiration needed for writing passionate material, dealing with the dark aspects of the human experience, as well as the hopeful ones.
‘45’ focuses on exactly that: the constant struggle with the realization we are mere mortals. Introduced by an acoustic guitar, the song quickly turns into a fully-fledged country gem, featuring luscious tones, mellow drums and a brooding electric piano. Revelle’s controlled, evocative vocals paint a bleak lyrical scenario, ending the track with an honest, yet painful realization. Nevertheless, ‘45’ could offer a taste of reality to disengaged listeners.
