Ginger Beef Share Colourful Homonym Instrumental Album

Unexpectedly, ‘Dew’ provided a fantastic listening experience. Hypnotising is the word: blending retro elements with cross-genre eclecticism, the track is an instrumental gem, taking its audience through a blissful and playful moment of musical goodness, four minutes that we wish would never end. Penned by Canadian instrumental pop duo Ginger Beef, the single is the perfect appetizer for their latest homonym full-length record, just released. ‘Ginger Beef’ amplifies everything that makes the project shine: from multiple flute solos to jazz, fusion and funk stylings, all played by real instruments (be it acoustic or synthesised).

There’s a chance we might not be able to fully display the album’s magic with words; after all, music needs to be experienced, not read. What we can tell you, is how ‘Ginger Beef’ made us feel. Pure, elegant escapism: the record seems to have the power of creating an ethereal and kaleidoscopic fictional universe, one where users are bound to lose themselves. You can practice introspection, or simply relax and let the mind roam free.

You see, we tend to forget how ample and varied art can be. If you feel stuck in a hole, musically-speaking, ‘Ginger Beef’ is the perfect antidote, helping you uncover more colourful territories. Hailing from Calgary, the duo has managed to craft something special. Thank you!
