Gianfranco Pescetti Explores Edgy Electronica in ‘Clownspunk’

For Pescetti, music has always been a priority. Moving from Italy to the US to pursue his true passion, the talented musician found himself playing bass in a plethora of bands and projects, championing his highly creative personality into the life he had always dreamed of. This year, after a short hiatus dedicated to gaining a degree in Landscape Architecture, Gianfranco Pescetti is back with a brand new sonic direction.

Leaving punchy drums and distorted basslines behind, the Maui resident embraces a strong electronic outlook focused on ethereal synthesisers and dreamy arpeggios, coming together to deliver a very specific artistic vision. In that regard, ‘Clownspunk’ is Pescetti’s latest effort. Following up on previous release ‘Sundog’, the track is a deep dive into abstract electronica, blending edgy synths with pop melodies and classic drum machines, resulting in a fresh, unexpected and quirky sonic concoction.

The art of music has always been a medium for expression for the Tuscan musician, evoking different emotions and feelings from his listeners. A true master of his craft, Pescetti embodies years of hard work and dedication, now declined through modern and experimental material. The verdict? We are on board – if ‘Clownspunk’ is anything to go by, we are in for a treat.
