Georgia Ray Returns with Country Pop Gem ‘Regret It’

There seems to be an inexplicable amount of musical talent in Australia; with a large number of really talented peeps crafting their best music. Why is that? Let us know if you have an answer to that. In the meantime, we’ll highlight our latest Aussie obsession. Hailing from Melbourne, Georgia Ray is one of the most impressive voices we have heard in a while. Championing a charming country-pop aesthetic, the young newcomer can boast anthemic vocals and a strong flair for honest, wholesome lyricism, drenched in personal experience and relatable energy.

‘Regret It’ is Georgia Ray’s latest effort, an intense and powerful ballad with a glorious chorus and polite verses. Anticipating a larger release expected later this year, the record manages to celebrate Ray’s artistic magnitude, so well placed between eclectic influences: from modern pop to Americana stylings, the Aussie talent brews everything into an irresistible and nostalgic pop goo.

Describing the inspiration behind the record, she explains: “The song is about hoping the person who broke your heart will regret it someday, and the result is equal parts angry, sad and nostalgic.”
