Gary Dranow and The Manic Emotions Share New Single ‘Dad’

A wonderful pop song, ‘Dad’ is simple, yet very impactful and meaningful. A nostalgic, relatable slice of warmth poignancy and lyrical honesty, the song embarks on a wider exploration of fatherly love and the attachment among different generations, perhaps expressing what some of us will never be able to in real life.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Dranow explains: “A journey through the memories shared between Harold Deblanc and his son, Matthew, as portrayed in a heartfelt letter written for Christmas”. Gary guides this artistic endeavour by teaming up with longtime collaborators The Manic Emotions, featuring a long-standing international lineup of talented musicians (such as Chris Zoupa – a familiar name to us).

Park City rocker Gary Dranow continues on his impressive productivity stream, walking the border between pop and rock, a space he’s very familiar with. ‘Dad’ once again sets the tone for the whole project, and we urge you to dive more into Dranow, if keen.
