Foundry Town Survivors Deal with Personal Loss in ‘In My Dreams’

We have said it multiple times: Foundry Town Survivors are a dynamic entity. Boasting impressive productivity, the Ann Arbor pair has been recently featured on our pages thanks to their soul-flavoured banger ‘I Want To Be Loved’, a track we described as “a steady gem, constantly driving the rhythm forward while showcasing the duo’s nuanced vocals”. Now, the American rockers are back on the new music horse, diving into more bluesy and rocky territories, although always maintaining their lyrical wit and nuanced attitude.

‘In My Dreams’ is their tenth release to date, a relevant milestone for Foundry Town Survivors. In the record, the listener will be confronted with particular poignancy and introspective attitude, through a sensible exploration of the aftermath of personal loss. The duo does so with anthemic flair, creating a piece that doesn’t feel too dark or reflective, instead building majestic vocal harmonies and rising melodies, augmenting the sense of dreaminess so proudly championed by the song.

Notably, Tommy and Mark – the humans behind Foundry Town Survivors – collaborate remotely, showcasing how geographical distance doesn’t matter if the artistic motivation is there.
