Stephanie Carlin and Carey Clayton make up the Los Angeles-based alternative-folk duo known as Fore Fader and they’ve just released their incredible latest single entitled ‘The Rains’. Serving as the follow-up to last year’s successful debut ‘Let The Light In’, ‘The Rains’ sees Fore Fader continue on their warm, dreamy, and lush journey. They delve into the ethereal and create a sound that sways between soft melancholy and illuminating hopefulness. It’s really more of a journey than a song, as they take the listener to a place that is beyond the physical world.
The band describe their music as “a communion with nature, ancestral spirits, and ex-communication with the material world”. You truly feel that when listening to ‘The Rains’. You disconnect for three and a half minutes and just get completely swept up in the tune.
I feel lucky to have stumbled upon Fore Fader. They are in the early days of their musical career, which is often the most exciting time to be a listener. We’re not entirely sure what their next plans are, but you can rest assured that we’ll be keeping a very close eye on this exceptionally talented duo.
