It’s been a while since someone sent us an all-out, fierce rock track. Exuding charming Jamie Hendrix vibes, ‘Rock My World’ is exactly what we needed. There’s euphoria and energy, perhaps a pinch of Motley Crue-esque extravaganza. Blending glam and hard rock stylings with raw guitar tones and playful vocals, the song is an absolute belter.
Hailing from Aiken, US, For You Brother is the moniker of guitarist and composer Jon Dash, hiring fellow vocalist Deep Soul School for his charming and powerful rap flow. Boasting important experiences in sync and commercial music, the pair now releases ‘Rock My World’ for a global audience to enjoy, and frankly, we can clearly see its appeal: it is well produced and empowering, with a stark vintage flavouring.
The single was recorded in Dizzieland USA, with mix and master by Shawn Guess, who also played drums on the track. Speaking about the inspiration behind it, Jon explains: “‘Rock My World’ is about a beautiful woman that rocked our world!”.
