Back in 2022, we discovered the wonderful and eclectic sounds of a London-based duo called Ex en Provence. They had just released a tune called ‘How Long Can We Hang?’ and their unique sound has stayed with us ever since. Today, I am proud to present ‘Feels So Right (Happy)’, the pair’s latest genre-bending track that I just cannot get out of my head!
Written as a stream-of-consciousness and expertly pieced together, the song builds itself up perfectly. We begin with a laidback and synthy vibe that sucks you straight in, before descending into a joyous and heavy electronic beat. Inventive, fresh, and utterly mesmerizing, ‘Feels So Right (Happy)’ is a sonic journey that defies expectations and keeps you hooked from start to finish.
The duo draw from their shared experiences across London, Berlin, and Andalusia. A landscape of nostalgic delusions all culminating in something of a Folie à deux, a rare psychiatric syndrome in which symptoms of a delusional belief, and sometimes hallucinations, are “transmitted” from one individual to another.
