Famed Irish singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Danny Forde is the brains behind a new musical project called Every Thing The Light Touches. Assembling a stellar cast of musicians that includes Swedish singer/songwriter Linnéa Lundgren, New York-based guitar virtuoso Lau Noah, and drummer for Soda Blonde and Little Green Cars Dylan Lynch, Danny and Co. have recently unveiled their incredibly beautiful debut single simply titled ‘Animal’.
Written while overlooking the sea on a writing retreat in Sweden, the lush and exquisitely pieced-together art-folk tune has a calming and soothing aura. Sending the listener to a serene landscape, away from the chaos of everyday life, it serves as something of a musical sanctuary.
“I wanted to try to capture the magnificent energy that comes from artists who embody their art: the singer becomes the song,” says Danny. “It has taken me on amazing adventures to meet incredible artists and I’m so lucky to have created music together”.
Lyrically, ‘Animal’ is a track about self-expression and the love between a parent and a child. Sending out a message of being true to oneself in front of the world, ‘Animal’ inspires a sense of empowerment and liberation, and is just beautiful in every single way.
