Drawing inspiration from a vast array of 80s and 90s influences, Belgian darkwave outfit Factheory is the author of obscure, alternative and cerebral music. Blending haunting acoustics guitars with icy synthesisers and ethereal sound design, the group pursue a highly-original style, a feature that we are confident will go a long way in finding them an audience.
‘Got You’ is Factheory’s latest effort, an exquisite reflective jewel which is the perfect example of their kaleidoscopic style. Not a record for everyone, of course. But the keen listener will be intrigued and refreshed by such musical prowess.
Describing themselves, Factheory explains: “Factheory is a band built with the ashes of many more or less alternative groups of the 80s, 90s and 2000s (Dirty Time, Petit Futur, Amazing Games, Unsaid … among others) Factheory represents a successful compromise between a darkwave with unstoppable melodies and a postpunk rock with electro trends.”
