Please welcome Liverpool-based singer/songwriter Ellie Burke who, just a few hours ago, released her brand new single ‘Filtered Reality’. Written as part of her university music dissertation, Ellie has set out to promote a better understanding of the adverse effects of social media. As she delves into the personal narratives of individuals who have suffered, the musician creates a thought-provoking and inspiring tune that should make everybody reflect on their own social media environment. Her vocal performance on the soulful and laidback track is simply outstanding, as she showcases her wonderful range and confidence.
Inspired by the big guns; Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande, Ellie put out her debut single ‘The Moon’ in January of this year. She followed that up with the dreamy ‘Together’, and ‘Filtered Reality’ is, amazingly, just her third release to date. I see seriously big things in Ellie’s future!
