Returning to the music scene after a rather long hiatus, Einsam announces a new album ‘Actionism’. ‘Fill Your Boots (More Life)’ is the single that opens the dances – so to speak – bringing the project back into the playlists of all keen British listeners. We are certainly keen: an eclectic and leftfield project, Einsam has long showcased his knack for indie galloping and electronic exploration, blending organic instrumentals with synthetized tones.
Produced by the Bristol-based creative in his own studio – called ‘1↓’ – ‘Fill Your Boots (More Life)’ finds its identity in a sequencer-powered bassline, groovy drum patterns and nostalgic guitar stabs. Such a cathartic sonic formula, slightly hypnotising and dreamy, is the perfect match for Einsam’s otherworldly vocals, often wrapped in a thousand harmonies and industrial goo.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single and the upcoming album, Einsam explains: “My whole challenge with these songs has been to try and do the difficult thing: to write the way I want to feel, rather than the way I do feel; to make something when I thought I couldn’t.”
