Edie Yvonne Shares Mazzy Star Cover ‘Fade Into You’

We have always had generous words towards young songstress Edie Yvonne, constantly releasing new material and gearing up for a tremendous career. Writing about her rendition of No Doubt’s ‘Sometimes’, we proudly declared: “Her evocative and luscious vocals are as strong as ever, proving once again that she’s a musician with an unbelievably bright future ahead of her”.

Now, the LA-based talent proves us right once again, unveiling what’s described as her “go-to cover”, Mazzy Star’s ‘Fade Into You’. It turns out to be a perfect fit for Yvonne’s charming and vibrant vocal tone, able to fully delve into the song’s melodious and poignant lyricism. Built on an acoustic arrangement, the record showcases once again what Edie is capable of – look out for a full EP of covers, coming soon.

As we are told: “At the age of 10 Edie Yvonne was invited to perform with a group of kids at the once Bootleg theatre at Anna Bulbrook’s Girl School festival. Kristin Kontrol invited kids to perform together with female rock legends and Edie sang Fade Into You. Since that remarkable night, it is her go-to cover thanks to that once-in-a-lifetime game-changing experience”.
