We certainly don’t need to introduce Edie Yvonne – the Californian pop sensation has been steadily releasing records for the past couple of years, raising the profile of her project tremendously. Only 15, Yvonne possesses the charisma of an experienced performer and songwriter, constantly confirming it by penning anthemic and fierce bops with a strong contemporary character.
‘Delusion’ – Edie’s latest effort – follows the same glorious path, revealing itself as a slice of fierce, bold and relatable matter. Built over an eclectic and hypnotising production, blending indie-flavoured guitars and electronic elements, the song proceeds to wrap listeners into colossal choruses and enchanting harmonies, all wonderfully delivered by Yvonne’s evocative vocals.
Crafted with the project’s usual collaborators Nicky Swedin and Cormac Liotta, ‘Delusion’ completes Edie’s kaleidoscopic trilogy, following up on previous singles ‘Girl Code’ and ‘Queen Bee’.
