Released last Friday, ‘I Might’ is the thoughtful yet scintillating new single from one of our very favourite singer/songwriters Edie Yvonne. A cherished part of our family, the Los Angeles-based creative returns once again to remind us why her music holds such a special place in our hearts. Through her soul-bearing diaristic storytelling, Edie delivers a haunting and highly addictive tune that sets the tone for a hugely promising 2025.
Following a similar thematic template to previous singles ‘Burn’ and ‘Epitome’, ‘I Might’ serves as the third track in a trilogy focusing on brutal honesty and tough love. Such intense songwriting will be quickly exposed if it’s not coming from a place of authenticity, and that’s why Edie’s raw and unfiltered artistry proves she’s the real deal.
Downtempo and ambient, ‘I Might’ sucks the listener in with its hypnotic melodies and Edie’s deeply immersive vocals. It’s relatively short too, with a runtime of under three minutes, but its emotional weight leaves an impact far outweighing its brevity.
An unquestionable superstar, Edie Yvonne continues to carve out a legacy as a seriously compelling voice of her generation. And, as always, we can’t wait to hear from her again!
