‘Talk My Ear Off’ is the cracking new album from Long Island-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dylan Bressler. His fourth to date, the record features ten tunes that see Dylan going back to what he knows best; his rock ‘n’ roll roots. Playing every instrument on the album, Bressler showcases his unwavering dedication to crafting authentic and heartfelt music that just hits all the right notes!
‘Practical Effects’ gets things underway with a John Frusciante-esque guitar riff before quickly descending into an all-out banger that is super catchy, upbeat, and bouncy. ‘I Like Pie’ then follows, taking the listener in a more stoner-rock and grungy direction before the laidback and anthemic ‘Time is a Daffodil’ makes its introduction.
‘Light Source’ and ‘In the Trunk of My Car’ were two other tracks that really resonated with me, but if I’m being completely honest, the album needs to be listened to in its entirety. Inspired by the likes of Blind Melon, Black Sabbath, Alkaline Trio, and Streetlight Manifesto, ‘Talk My Ear Off’ is a diverse and engaging sonic experience that I thoroughly enjoyed!
