We couldn’t pass up on dreamcat: hailing from Alaskan cold shores, the creative duo champions a blissfully luscious synth-pop outlook, with a healthy and dreamy (you guessed it) component. Staying true to their ethos, their latest single takes the name ‘dreamhouse’. If that gets you confused, you are not alone. Anyway, it doesn’t quite matter, as once the track starts playing, we find ourselves completely overwhelmed by the project’s dazzling sonic livery and euphoric escapism.
Gearing up for an upcoming EP, dreamcat seems unstoppable, and if ‘dreamhouse’ is anything to go by, we are for a truly cosmic journey! Also romantic partners, Em Glaves and Colton Ciufo don’t disappoint: if you are looking for dreamy and ethereal, you just found it. Their collective vocals are extremely evocative and elegant, often drenched in spacious goo and a buoyant lo-fi character.
