Dorian Shows His Adaptability On His Latest EP ’33’

Jeremy Bregman

Baltimore-based indie singer/songwriter Dorian has been seriously busy this year! Just a few months ago, he put out his album ‘The Arrival: Dream World Pt.2′, which was met with global critical acclaim. He’s now returned with a brand new project entitled ’33’, an eclectic seven-track EP that combines elements of dance, house, R&B, soul, and pop. Essentially a three-track album, with the final four songs being a capella versions, ‘Do Ya’ gets the ball rolling. A deep house beat meets haunting and eerie synths, as the energetic and pulsating tune sets the tone perfectly for what’s to come.

‘Blast Off’ then takes things down a little, with an uplifting and vibrant R&B/drill soundscape and the silky-smooth vocals of Dorian stealing the show. It’s a wonderful example of just how talented and adaptable the musician actually is. It also shows his growth as an indie artist, something we feel is sure to continue.

‘Notice Me’ rounds up the EP and, without giving too much away, is a radio-friendly pop banger! A catchy and soulful little track that I’ve truly fallen pretty hard for! I can’t wait to follow the career of the ridiculously gifted Dorian going forward.

Serious EP alert! Enjoy ’33’ on Spotify now:
