Discover Walem’s Eclectic and Complex Musical World

Flourishing over France’s lively and creative music scene, Walem are the direct result of the eclectic and vibrant landscape they emerge from. Bleding a plethora of influences into a complex, nuanced package, the group borrows from prog-rock, cinematic tones and anthemic soundscapes, wrapping the listeners in sonic magic and instrumental virtuosity.

‘Turbo Tonnerre’ is the perfect evidence of that. Walem’s latest effort, the record sees them offering an in-depth look at everything that makes the project relevant. From the long instrumental bits and the many guitar solos to the orchestral bridges and saxophone incursions, everything screams pure musical talent, a quality that’s overly present in Walem’s collaborative outlook and fluid lineup.

Lead single and title track ‘Turbo Tonnerre’ is a particularly meaningful entry point for any keen listeners; in it, one can discover ethereal, melancholic female vocals together with distorted, prog-metal guitars. Later on, a baritone saxophone takes the composition in a mellower direction. What more could you want?!
