Vibrant and alluring, Paula Boggs Band has made a name for themselves thanks to raw, traditional Americana material, drenched in evocative energy and their head honcho’s nuanced yet powerful vocals. Hailing from Seattle, the group now unveils their latest effort, a stunning live album showcasing all of the eclecticism and instrumental prowess enjoyed by the project.
‘Live at Sweetwater Music Hall’ helps us reckon with Paula Boggs’ artistic flair; delving into a hundred years of Americana, Country and Blues tradition, the talented songstress works with the rest of the ensemble to deliver timeless, relatable and ever-relevant pieces. Bassist Mark Eames and percussionist Tor Dietrichson are some of the great musicians joining her on this journey.
Speaking about the album’s recording process, Boggs explains: “Playing at Sweetwater Music Hall was a magical experience. The energy from the audience and the vibe of the venue brought out the best in us. We can’t wait to share that night with everyone through this album.”
